Batu/Red Balau Mahogany Decking

However, what makes this type of material special is it is insect and rot resistant and is low maintenance. So, you never have to worry about unwanted critters ruining your deck. This type of deck material is kiln dried and machine-sealed with a Messmer’s sealer, which ensures that the material is as resistant as possible.

Pressure Treated Decking

At Interstate + Lakeland Lumber, we can provide Premium Grade Southern Pine pressure-treated lumber that is treated with Osmose ™ MicroPro™. This particular type of lumber is treated with micronized copper preservatives that help protect it against things like termite damage and fungal decay. This type of wood is also great for the environment as they release 90-99% less copper into aquatic and terrestrial environments compared to other types of pressure treated woods.

Railing

Railings offer you a unique way to customize your deck by having a variety of materials, colors, and designs to select. Therefore, we at Interstate + Lakeland Lumber offer a large range of options for the homeowner to choose from. All of the composite and PVC decking companies such as Azek and Timbertech offer matching railings to go with their decking. The railings come in heights of 36” or 42” depending on their use and different lengths starting from 6’ depending on the brand and type of railing. The railing posts themselves can come as balusters, straight, round, and even a few metals. Interstate + Lakeland Lumber also has pressure treated lumber, cedar, and mahogany if you want a natural wood product. Sample products can be seen in any of our store locations and taken home for a better idea of the look and feel around your property. Intex Hampton Extruded Rail System

The Hampton Extruded Rail System is an economical rail solution with performance superior to composite railing. This rail system is available in 6, 8 and 10 foot lengths for level & radius rail runs, and 6 & 8 foot lengths for stairway applications. The product is 100% Cellular PVC with Stainless Steel Hidden Fastener System. Stocked in a Peaked Style Top Rail and available as a Beverage Friendly Flat Cap Top Rail. Fairway Secondary Rail

Fairway Secondary Round Handrail or “Graspable Handrail” is used in many different commercial and residential applications. Fairway’s “Round Vinyl Railing” may be used in conjunction with guard railing or in some applications as a durable and attractive primary rail. Your local building code may require a “secondary” railing system. Local jurisdiction codes also vary on how the ends of the handrail are to be finished.
